Fly into Anchorage and check in.
That evening, we'll have a mandatory kickoff meeting before heading out for an incredible sunset photography session at Lake Hood Seaplane Base, the world's busiest floatplane airport, where mirror-like water reflections create stunning compositions.
We take an exclusive seaplane flight to Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park—one of the world’s top wildlife photography destinations.
You’ll capture majestic grizzly bears fishing for salmon in the rushing waterfalls.
We all ride together to Seward where we will go on easy short hikes to capture Glaciers and wildlife.
Then we board a private boat chartered into the Kenai Fjords national park where we'll capture Orcas, Puffins, Sea Lions, and maybe even humpback whales!*
We will venture together into Denali National Park, home to some of North America's most spectacular wildlife - Moose, Bison, Caribou, and Dall Sheep roaming free under the towering peak of Denali (Mt McKinley) Then a road trip to fairbanks where you will either fly home - OR join us on an expedition to the arctic circle to capture Polar Bears!
For those seeking the ultimate wildlife photography adventure, we’re offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a special 2-day extension to Kaktovik – the heart of the Arctic Circle, as high as you can go in Alaska!
This remote village on the edge of the Arctic Ocean is one of the best places on Earth to photograph wild polar bears. As the sea ice begins to form, dozens of polar bears gather along the shores, offering incredible close-range photography opportunities unlike anywhere else.
Polar Bears – Majestic, powerful, and completely wild, these apex predators roam the shores of Kaktovik, giving you a rare chance to capture stunning portraits and action shots.
Arctic Foxes – These elusive, snow-colored foxes scurry across the tundra, adding a unique and striking subject to your portfolio.
Snowy Owls & Arctic Birds – Keep your lens ready for snowy owls, eiders, gyrfalcons, and other rare Arctic bird species soaring through the stark northern landscapes.
Possible Whale Sightings – Depending on conditions, we may even spot bowhead whales and beluga whales near the icy shores.
Glaciers & Ice Formations – Towering icebergs, frozen shorelines, and shifting sea ice create breathtaking compositions, capturing the raw power and beauty of the Arctic wilderness.
Arctic Wolves – Though rare, arctic wolves have been spotted in the region, especially in the more remote tundra areas.
Bearded Seals & Ringed Seals – These essential prey species for polar bears can sometimes be seen lounging on ice floes or surfacing near the coastline.
PLUS all of this will be under the Midnight Sun – A Nearly Endless Golden Hour – With 24 hours of daylight, the Arctic offers soft, diffused lighting all night long, creating perfect conditions for photography without worrying about harsh midday shadows.
**We’re heading into one of the most remote places on Earth—a place so wild, even Google Maps barely knows what’s going on. There are fewer than 300 people living where we’re going, and the polar bears? Well, let’s just say they’re not big on keeping schedules.
While we’ll do everything humanly possible to make sure your trip is smooth, comfortable, and packed with jaw-dropping photography moments, Mother Nature and the local wildlife will NOT sign a contract (believe us, we tried).
That means some locations or timing may shift depending on weather, animal activity, or other Arctic surprises—but rest assured, we’re always making adjustments to ensure you get the absolute best shots possible. After all, adapting to the wild is what makes this an authentic adventure! 🐻❄️❄️📸

I accept all levels of experience in photography, but please make sure you have the gear needed; otherwise, it will be no fun for you. If you are missing a lens or an ND filter, don’t worry!
There will be no long or strenuous hiking or heavy physical exertion needed. People in their 20s-80s join us in these workshops. However, you must be able to walk up a few flights of stairs with your gear. If that is going to be a challenge, this might not be the best next workshop for you.
If you have a Non-Photographer +1, they may attend the entire adventure. But due to the high, hard costs associated with Alaska, any +1 on this trip will be the same cost as a regular photographer.
If you have more questions regarding the workshop please send an email to [email protected].
The best airport to fly into is Anchorage International Airport (ANC).
We recommend arriving by the afternoon of Day 1 to ensure you’re settled and ready for the mandatory evening workshop briefing, as Day 1 begins at 3pm inside a conference room in Anchorage for a safety briefing, as well as an intro photography lecture from the instructors.
Feel free to arrive earlier as well!
After the adventure, you’ll fly out of Fairbanks International Airport (FAI), whether you are on the 4-day or 6-day adventure!
We will soon list the recommended hotels in Alaska, and if you upgrade to the bonus addition, your rooms will be booked for you!
