What’s Included:
Imagine standing lakeside at Moraine Lake as the first light hits the turquoise water… or watching clouds swirl over Castle Mountain as golden hour sets the peaks on fire. This summer, we’re inviting you on a 4-day immersive photography workshop through the Canadian Rockies, where jaw-dropping scenery and next-level creative inspiration collide.
From capturing reflections at Bow Lake to riding out to Spirit Island by boat for a bucket-list shot, every moment is designed to ignite your passion, sharpen your skills, and help you create powerful, sellable landscape work. Join us for the ultimate mountain photography experience!
You'll work with expert photographers and marketers who not only know how to capture the perfect shots but also understand the PROVEN types of images that sell. With in-field coaching and editing sessions, you'll learn exactly what to shoot and how to edit it for maximum impact. After the event, we'll guide you through the next steps of selling your work online.
Craig has sold over 10,000 pieces of art, totaling over 1.6 million. His students sell between $60,000 - $90,000 per month following his teachings!
Clifton Haley is the head of coaching at the Thriving Artist Academy, who has sold over 800 pieces online (with 40 pieces sold just last month!)
Greg is an award-winning film director and photographer, an experienced marketer with over 4 decades of experience to share.
For those craving just *one more hit* of adventure (and portfolio gold), we’re offering a jaw-dropping optional Day 5 extension designed to take your Canadian Rockies experience to the next level.
Start your morning shooting the iconic Three Sisters Mountains as they catch the soft glow of sunrise — a perfect send-off scene. Then, if you're ready to go big, strap in for an unforgettable helicopter photography tour over the Continental Divide.
This exclusive heli experience flies you deep into alpine wilderness, where you'll photograph jagged peaks, glacial valleys, and hidden backcountry lakes from above. It’s the kind of rare aerial access most photographers only dream of — and the ultimate way to wrap up your Rockies adventure.
The Three Sisters – Towering, elegant, and iconic, these majestic peaks are a dream to photograph at sunrise, with soft golden light wrapping around their sharp ridgelines. A must-have for any landscape lover’s portfolio.
Glaciers & Alpine Lakes – From above, the Rockies reveal an entirely new personality: twisted ice fields, mirror-like lakes, and glacier-fed rivers carving their way through the mountains — all seen from the open skies during our helicopter tour.
Hidden Valleys & Backcountry Peaks – The heli ride gives us access to remote zones few photographers ever get to see. Expect surreal textures, wild symmetry, and dramatic compositions you can’t capture any other way.
Wildlife Sightings (Maybe!) – While this isn’t a wildlife-focused tour, the Rockies are home to mountain goats, elk, moose, and eagles. Keep your lens ready — you never know who might show up to crash your landscape shot. 🦅
Cloud Drama & Atmosphere – This region is known for moody skies and fast-changing weather. If we catch fog rolling over a peak or rays bursting through a stormy sky? Those are the moments that win awards.
And just a heads-up...
We’re heading into some of the most awe-inspiring terrain on the continent — but these mountains run on their own schedule. Weather shifts fast, light plays games, and the only guarantee is that Mother Nature is the boss.
While we’ll do everything humanly possible to get you to the right place at the right time, conditions may change. That’s why we build flexibility into the plan — so we can adapt, pivot, and chase the best shots the Rockies have to offer. And trust us… they always deliver. 😉

I accept all levels of experience in photography, but please make sure you have the gear needed; otherwise, it will be no fun for you. If you are missing a lens or an ND filter, don’t worry!
There will be no long or strenuous hiking or heavy physical exertion needed. People in their 20s-80s join us in these workshops. However, you must be able to walk up a few flights of stairs with your gear. If that is going to be a challenge, this might not be the best next workshop for you.
If you have a Non-Photographer +1, they may attend the entire workshop. But due to the high, hard costs associated with this trip, any +1 on this trip will be the same cost as a regular photographer.
If you have more questions regarding the workshop please send an email to [email protected].
The best airport to fly into is Calgary International Airport (YYC).
We recommend arriving by the afternoon of Day 1 to ensure you're settled and ready for the mandatory 3:00 PM welcome briefing. We’ll meet in Banff for a gear check, safety notes, and a quick creative warm-up led by your instructors before heading to our first shoot location.
Feel free to arrive earlier to explore or acclimate — Banff is a photographer's playground!
After the adventure, you'll fly out of Calgary International Airport (YYC) as well — whether you stick with the 4-day experience or stay for the Day 5 add-on.
The hotels are included in this trip. Details will be shared with you in the private Whatsapp group chat as we get closer to the event!
